Privacy and children's data

In short

This site sets no tracking cookies. It only collects personal data if you fill in the pilot programme form. It collects no student data.

Pilot programme form

• Data collected: full name, school, city, subject, level, WhatsApp number or email address.
• Purpose: to get back to you and organise your participation in the pilot. Nothing else: no marketing, no resale.
• Basis: your consent, given when you send the form.
• Retention: until the end of the pilot programme, then 12 months at most, unless you become a contributing teacher and wish to stay in touch.
• Storage: Cloudflare D1 database. To limit abuse we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
• Bot check: Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person sends the form. It sets no advertising cookie.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal identifiers.

Students’ and children’s data

The Kalanko app identifies students by a QR code printed on the worksheet, not by name. Names stay on the teacher’s phone. This website receives no copies and no student data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at the contact address at the bottom of the page. You can also contact Burkina Faso’s data protection authority, the Commission de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CIL).
